Assistance with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom, based on individual needs and support plans.
Help with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and organizing a safe, clean home environment.
Prompts and coaching for medication routines, as allowed; health-related reminders; and following care recommendations.
Teaching daily living skills like laundry, simple cooking, using schedules, and managing personal belongings.
What you can expect is a DSP coming several days a week to help with morning routines, support ADLs, prepare meals, and practice skills that make each day more manageable and independent.

Support to get out, connect, and build confidence in everyday community life. Community-based support helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in activities they enjoy, build social skills, and feel more comfortable navigating their world.
Community-based support includes:
Going on outings such as shopping, walks, local events, library visits, or fitness activities.
Supporting social experiences like meeting friends, attending groups, and building social communication skills.
Practicing community safety, money skills, and travel skills, such as using transportation, crossing streets safely, or following routes.
Encouraging participation in recreation, volunteering, and meaningful daytime activities that match the person’s interests and goals.
What you can expect is a DSP meeting with your loved one several afternoons a week to go into the community, practice social interactions, and build skills to move through the day with more confidence and independence.
Behavioral support that understands the whole person and not just the behavior. Top Care Support offers access to a dedicated behavior support team, including BCBA-level oversight, to help address challenging behaviors and build positive skills at home and in the community.
Behavioral support includes:
Behavioral assessments to understand triggers, strengths, and needs.
Development of behavior support strategies and plans tailored to the individual and their environment.
Coaching and training for DSPs and families on de-escalation, redirection, and teaching positive coping skills.
Ongoing monitoring, data review, and adjustments to strategies to support long-term progress and safety.
What you can expect is your DSP and behavior support team working together to prevent crises, respond calmly when behaviors escalate, and teach new skills that help your loved one communicate needs, manage emotions, and participate more fully in daily life.
